Office Reception Logo Signs: Planning Hidden Wiring and Wall Interfaces
An office reception logo needs coordinated wall and wiring details before the wall is closed. Identify how each illuminated element connects, which parts remain removable and where the power equipment can be serviced. The approval drawing should show these decisions alongside the visible logo layout.
Collect the wall build-up and finish information
Ask the interior contractor for the wall construction, backing locations and planned access points. Record joints in panels, stone or other decorative finishes. The sign’s fixing and cable pattern should be coordinated with these constraints rather than placed on an assumed blank wall.
Make hidden routes explicit
Show cable exits relative to a common datum and identify any carrier or concealed backing arrangement. Separate the position of the visible logo from the location of the access opening. Review oblique views so spacers and wiring do not become unexpectedly visible beside the reception desk.

Keep the power equipment maintainable
Agree a serviceable location and have the electrical designer review the route and selected components. Avoid leaving the location to be decided after furniture or joinery is installed. The final arrangement should allow identification and replacement through the intended access.
Coordinate the handover between trades
Use one drawing revision for the wall contractor, sign manufacturer and installer. Record who creates penetrations, provides backing, runs site wiring and makes final connections. Update the as-built record if any position changes during installation.

Can the logo be ordered before the reception wall is built?
Yes, if the interface is coordinated early and the relevant dimensions and construction are approved. Keep unresolved wall details clearly identified until they are settled.
